Our client is a global leader in the manufacturing of engines. Key Responsibilities:Improve productivity / throughput / safety by utilizing Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering techniques (ergonomic evaluations, time studies, simulation, standardization, routings, layout analysis and line balancing). Analyze work force utilization, machine utilization, facility layout, material flow and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment. Create and maintain process documentation (Routings / Standardization docs / process control plans / work instructions) and facility layouts. Develop management systems for productivity tracking, capacity utilization and maintain up-to-date capacity studies. Coordinate / lead cross-functional groups to implement cost effective, capable and safe manufacturing processes for the company's Natural Gas Engines (NGE) Engine Business. Act as a liaison between the production teams and other areas, including Product Engineering, Quality and other plants. Purchase equipment / torque tools per required process specifications compliant with the client's requirements and specifications. Lead / support continuous process improvements on work methods, equipment, work stations, station layouts, workflow and line balancing. Lead / support process FMEA and fail-safe / improvement activities in the business. Develop and implement plan to upgrade / maintain equipment as needed. Plan and coordinate the implementation of preventative measures to assure production and quality goals. Ensure NGE tools and equipment are correctly applied to each operation. Use Six Sigma as a problem- solving tool and layout design projects and update existing layouts. Skills: Functional / Technical:Prefer experience in engine assembly processes, problem-solving and quantitative methods.
